10U Rules

Minimum 8 players to avoid forfeit.

May sit up to 2 non-consecutive innings.

Outfielders must have feet in grass (violation calls a ball on the pitcher).

Fielding face masks are mandatory for all players.

Offensive. Max 2 on field unless coach-pitcher is needed.

Defensive. No coaches allowed on field. Must stay past end of dugout.

No inning begins after 65 minutes of play.

Weather complete after 45 minutes if 2 full innings played.

5 runs per half-inning limit.

Dropped 3rd strike, infield fly, and look-back rules do not apply.

Bunting is allowed, unless a coach is pitching.

Thrown bats result in immediate dead ball; second occurrence is a team warning; subsequent occurrences are outs.

Must stop advancing when the pitcher has control of the ball in the circle.

Runners may steal one base per pitch regardless of overthrow. Can steal home on a wild pitch by a kid pitcher.

No stealing when a coach is pitching. Can take a 1-step lead after coach releases ball.

No walks awarded.

Hit by pitch from player-pitcher awards 1st base.

If player delivers 4 balls with less than 3 strikes, a coach-pitcher comes in to inherit the strike count.

Coach pitch exceeding 6 feet high is a dead ball strike.

Every coach pitch counts as a strike.

A single pitcher hitting 2 batters in an inning or in two separate innings total must be replaced.

Bases set at 60 feet. Pitching rubber at 35 feet. Ball is 11″.
